Hi ,

I was working with a  J-query Table Plugin {Called DataTables,} where I need to extend some functionalities to achive my client’s goal ,

He actually wants to add a extra select drop-down at the top of the table,by which he can change inner table data with Ajax,means without reload/refresh the page,

At the first stage when I start working on this , I thought a basic HTML Static DropDown with a onChange event and a  J query $ajax  call on it,

The process I thought is actually as  simple  to think as difficult to accomplish with DataTables, Then after some research at the API available in there website I found two functions very useful for me and I want to share with you,

1 fnGetColumnData() ;  http://www.datatables.net/plug-ins/api

2. fnCreateSelect();  http://www.datatables.net/examples/api/multi_filter_select.html

  Last I get another useful function by which I made the table sorting on Select On cgange

  $(‘select’, this).change( function () {
oTable.fnFilter( $(this).val() );
} );
